The Bayshore MSTU funded drainage study of the entire residential neighborhood is nearly complete.  The local residents were included in the study as they had a historical perspective of problem areas that should be corrected. The MSTU Project Manager, in conjunction with engineering consultants, is compiling the Residential Master Stormwater Management Plan and will forward it to the County Stormwater Department and South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) for review. The engineering study will determine how the current swale system works, if at all, and recommended street-by-street projects to improve drainage on residential streets. The Master Plan will be forwarded to the Board of County Commissioners to accept and allow the MSTU to apply for SFWMD, state and federal grant funding to assist in the completion of the projects.
