In 2006 The CRA Paved The Last Remaining Dirt Roads In The Area!

The neighborhoods of the Hallendale Subdivision in the southern portion of the CRA had requested that their streets be paved for years. Residents consulted the County Transportation Division to pave their dirt streets and it was determined that when the area was platted, the streets were not built to County standards and were never accepted. The County did agree to routinely grade the streets at no cost to the property owners.

Property owners discussed the possibility of acquiring assistance from the CRA as part of the CRA’s mission to improve infrastructure. Florida Highway Products, Inc., a road paving company, was contacted to pave the streets with an asphalt product called Flex Pave and paved all streets in two weeks’ time.
