2003 – The Board adopted a Boat Access & Boat Launch Master Plan.
Plan recommended the purchase of properties on Danford & Bay Streets to expand boat launch parking to meet the future needs of the A.U.I.R.

On Dec 22, 2025 the CRA purchased the 4 properties on Bay St using CDBG and County Strategic Land Acquisition Funds
