In January 2016, the CRA entered into a Purchase Agreement with Real Estate Partners International (REPI) for the sale of the 5.27 acre catalyst project. In 2018, the rezoning and comprehensive plan amendment was approved to establish the Mini-Triangle Mixed Use District. In July 2018, the Board approved the Cell Tower Agreement with Crown Castle setting the terms and conditions to decommission, demolish and remove the existing tower on the property and terminate the lease in advance of 2024. Closing on the property is contingent on the removal of the cell tower. Crown Castle has received final approval the FAA to relocate the tower to another site. Based on the purchase agreement, the closing is expected in the first quarter of 2020.
